WHEN DO I TRANSITION FROM SWADDLING TO A SLEEP SACK?
My Store Admin
The appropriate age to start using a sleep sack may differ for each individual baby. This is because some babies may start rolling earlier than others. To ensure your baby's safety, it is recommended to switch from swaddling to a sleep sack as soon as they begin showing signs of rolling. It is important to always place your baby on their back in their crib or bassinet if they are under one year old. Once a baby starts rolling, they will naturally transition from their back to their belly. A lightweight cotton sleep sack will not prevent them from rolling onto their tummy. If their hands and arms are not free to assist in movement, they may be at a higher risk of SIDS. Therefore, it is crucial to switch from swaddling to a sleep sack when your baby starts rolling. If your baby has not shown signs of rolling by three months of age, it is still recommended to begin the transition. Typically, the ideal age to start using a sleep sack is between 10 to 12 weeks.
